Most fasting tests — Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS), Lipid Profile, and Kidney Profile — require 8–12 hours of fasting (plain water is fine). Tests like CBC, Thyroid (T3/T4/TSH), and Vitamin D/B12 don't need fasting at all.
